SB722 HH&HR AM #1
The House Health and Human Resources Committee moves to amend
the bill on page two, section 1b, line thirteen, following the word
"patients" and the period by striking out the remainder of the
subsection and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"
The Board of Pharmacy shall promulgate rules regarding the minimum
standards for a charitable clinic pharmacy and rules regarding the
applicable definition of a pharmacist-in-charge, who may be a
volunteer, at charitable clinic pharmacies. A charitable clinic
pharmacy may not be charged any applicable licensing fees and such
clinics may receive donated drugs. Nothing in this article or
section is intended to prevent or restrict persons employed by or
volunteering at a free or charitable clinic from dispensing or
supervising the dispensing of medications or otherwise practicing
their profession as permitted by regulations of the West Virginia
Board of Medicine, the West Virginia Board of Osteopathy, the West
Virginia Board of Dental Examiners and the West Virginia Board of
Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses."
